Prophets of doom are predicting that summer will never arrive in Spain this year as 25 cities nationally experience temperaturas of below 10 degrees centigrade and snow is falling in Navarro and Aragón.
It is decades since so much rain fell in May breaking records for spring rainfall and filling the reservoirs..
With a couple of days of May left the average monthly temperature stands at 1.2 degrees less than the average for this time of year, according to the Met Office.
While a French meterological cannel reports a 70% chance we will not get summer this year the national Met Office are predicting “a summer which will be hot but not torrid.”
The next week in Calasparra is expected to be sunny with temperaturas gradually rising through to the high 20’s next week.
