A mammoth cycle ride for charity, the Biciaventura Solidaria, which started from Seville on March 9 will arrive in the Plaza de la Corredera, Calasparra, at about 6pm Tuesday, tomorrow.
A group of cyclists, who will cover some 2,200 kilometres across Spain, are stopping off in Calasparra, amongst other places, to bring help to specific sectors of the population and to present their project to young people and their families. They aim to encourage a different form of travelling, encourage interest in sports and adventure and sponsor respect for the environment.
The ride will finish in Toledo on March 30.
The local event will include a presentation of the project. Anyone attending the event is encouraged to bring a kilo of non perishable foodstuff.
