In celebration of St Antonio Abad, San Anton, patron saint of animals here in Spain, there will be a blessing ceremony for pets in square outside St Peter’s Church at the bottom of Calle Mayor at 5pm today, Thursday.
Local primary school, the Esperanza, is marking the day by inviting pupils to bring their pets into school at lunchtime.
