The opening speech for the Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary had a musical twist this year as Angelines Cristóbal broke into song on various occasions putting her own special mark on this annual event.
During the speech she also made numerous cultural references to the history of the statue of Our Lady of Hope and told the congregation she was “grateful to have the opportunity to speak about her feelings for the patron of Calasparra.”
The choir rociero, Amanacer, sang during the mass held at the end of the speech.
