Beware of false inspectors of gas installations and/or gas bottles in your home who are operating in our area, Local Police warn.
There are door to door cold callers who claim to be authorized to inspect your gas intalllations and claim to be representatives of Repsol carrying out revisions.
They are conmen! Do not let them in!
Firstly, your gas installation needs to be revised every five years and Repsol will let you know months in advance that an inspection is due.
Secondly, any inspection has to be carried out by an authorized technician with identification and an authorization from the regional government.
Ask to see the documents!
These callers may ask for a quick decision! Don’t be pressured. Ask for their official identification and if you are still in doubt call 112 Emergencies or helpline 696442200.
Never let strangers into your home unless you have been notified of their visit.
Gas bottles and their installation (tubes and crown) have an expiry date clearly written on them. If you use a dealer to buy gas they can advise you and provide new ones when required. Otherwise the new items can be bought at any official gas dealer in Calasparra.
