An Open Rafting Cross, that combines the essence of olympic kayak cross with teams rafting, will be held on the river Segura, near the Canoe School, on Sunday September 20.
Although this is a competitive event and teams are invited to take part it also promises to be an exciting spectator sport from the river banks.
The competition includes a phase against the clock and direct trials between teams with the four best teams in each category.
This is an open event and non federation teams are invited to take part.The organisation will provide rafts, oars, helmets and life jackets.
At the Municipal Canoe School the timetable will be:
9am Meeting with heads of teams
9.30am Demonstration and practice of route
10.am Against the Clock classification trial
11.30am Direct team trials
1.30pm Presentation of medals
2pm Paella for participants
The signing on period finishes at 2pm today, Friday September 18.
