AEMET, the Met Office, has just issued a Yellow Weather Warning for high temperatures and storms with strong winds and hail this afternoon, Friday August 14.
The warning covers the North West region of Murcia, that includes Calasparra and runs from 1pm to 8pm.
Temperatures may reach between 38 to 40C.
According to the Met Office these storms may be particularly severe in isolated areas.
