Yesterday, July 30, was the Day of the Patron Saints Abdon and Senen and from the early hours of the morning the town centre was full of residents and visitors keen to share the traditional «Paloma»*, the «Diana»* and the procession accompanied by the Band of Music and the rhythm of the Calasparrian charanga* “Los Pijoteros”.
These fiestas date back to the XVI century when the town appealed to the Patron Saints to protect their harvests.
