The Coffee Morning at the Asador de Valle this week has raised an incredible 447 euros for the animal rescue charity, Dogs Rescue of Calasparra.
The Association would like to thank everyone for their donations of cakes and savouries and for their support.
Every spring in Calasaparra means aditional cost for Dogs Rescue as the heartless owners of female dogs dump litters of puppies without or without their mothers. Some are as young as a few days old. If it wasn´t for the efforts of this admirable voluntary association these puppies would die.
This is only part of the picture as the work of Dogs Rescue is a year long effort to rescue, care for, pay vet’s bills and find forever homes for all the abandoned, and often ill or injured dogs, dumped or thrown out by local people.
Dogs Rescue is run by volunteers and completely dependent on donations to meet the costs of their refuge and care costs.Events like this Coffee Morning are fundamental to the survival of Dogs Rescue and their work in the local community.
