The legendary Rock and Roll Summer Festival, Cuervarrozk of Calasparra, has contracted, reputably, the best guitarrist in Spain and the vintage rock and roll stars, La Guardia, on their 40th anniversary tour.
The local councillors, Juan José López and Juan Bernal, charged with organizing the local fiestas, have really pulled out all the stops this year to confirm Calasparra’s reputation as the regional centre of Rock and Roll.
Firstly, La Guardia on July 25, vintage stars of Spanish rock and roll, on their 40th anniversary tour will make a stop in Calasparra. Forty years on the stage and with the same energy as ever. Manuel España and his musicians will play all the «hymns» tatooed in the memory of every Spanish rock and roll fan such as «El Mundo tras el cristal», «Mil calles llevan hacia ti», «Cuando brille el sol», «La Carretera», «Vámonos», and «Te seguiré».
Secondly, returning to Cuervarrozk after 24 years Santiago Campiño, (ex M-Clan) one of the best, if not the best, rock guitarrist in Spain, with the voice of Miguel Bañon.
On Friday July 24 emerging local bands will lift the curtin on this year’s Cuervarrozk.
