A delegation of local dignitaries visited the OAPs residence, Virgin de la Esperanza, this week to mark the first anniversary under new management.
Personalia, part of the Grupo Fundosa, the business division of the ONCE foundation which seeks to improve the lives of disabled people, took over the management of the
residence last year after the previous management was sacked by the Town Hall for mismanagement and failure to pay the staff´s wages.
The delegation included the Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro and representatives of the Grupo Fundosa and of the ONCE.
The residence has a total of 82 places, seven of which are for patients requiring special care. There are also 30 day centre places and 20 for patients with behavioral problems.
