Some 140 cyclists, including professional cyclists on a national and international level, came to town yesterday, Sunday, to take part in the BTT Calasparra:
Among the cyclists competing in the 45K race with inclines of 1,100 meres were cycling stars, Luis Leon and Alejandro Valverde.
The event was organised by the Club Ciclista Calasparra and Calasparra Town Hall .
The route took in some of the most emblematic parts of the area including the Sierra del Molino, the Sierra de San Miguel, the old town and the area around the castle.
