The first of four bull runs in Moratalla took place this morning as part of the annual fiestas in honour of the Santísimo Cristo del Rayo.
Despite a 50% cut in the budget for the fiestas three morning bull runs and one at night will go ahead. Financial restraints will not affect the main event, celebrated since 1621, when residents on foot and on horseback accompany the bulls into town.
