Some 300 atheletes took part in the IV edition of the Charity Race «Entre Arrozales» (Amongst the Rice Fields) 2024 that coincided with the rice harvest this weekend.
Participants were able to enjoy the landscape including the white water of the River Segura and the Cañaverosa Riverbank forests in addition to the golden fields of rice.
The funds raised for the association, Calasparra Se Mueve, will go to cancer research at the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca.
The race started at the Sanctuary and ended with a plate of Calasparra rice.
Calasparra Town Hall and the Consejo Regulador of the DOP Calasparra organized this event with the colaboration of the Sanctuary, Blade Runners, Aguas de Cantalar, Estrella de Levante, Quesos Tio Resti (TGT) and Origen. The event was sponsored by the Santander Bank.
