This is a date for your diary! The next coffee morning in aid of Dogs Rescue Calasparra will be held on the September 17 at La Plaza Pizzeria from 11am.
All monies raised go to Dogs Rescue, a voluntary association, that takes in, cares for and seeks forever homes for stray, abandoned and mistreated dogsa in Calasparra.
Everyday, it seems, there is another sad tale of a dog full of pests and disease, often injured and sometimes nearer dead than alive, that Dogs Rescue has taken in. Often there is a special appeal for funds to pay for medical expenses. Some of these dogs sadly do not survive. But many do and they remain in the care of the Association until someone gives them a home.
Dogs Rescue neede to raise money to cover medical fees, routine injections and medical care, plus food and shelter for the many animals that remain in their care, sometime for years, before someone gives them a home.
The Coffee Morning is such a fund raising event and donations of cakes and savouries as well as raffle prises would be very welcome.
The cost is 3.50 per person.
Dogs Rescue hope to see you all there when the weather will, hopefully, be a little cooler!
