Structures have already begun to emerge and numerous discoveries of metal and coins as work to clear shubbery and clean the area of the Cerro de la Virgen where archeologists hope to date the archeological site as V-VII BC.

The team have launched another appeal for volunteers interested in the history of Calasparra.
