This morning the Head of the local Department of Diversity, Juan José López, presented the programme for Gay Pride Week,LGTBI+ , in Calasparra, which will be a celebration that does not just honour diversity and inclusion but also reinforces our commitment to human rights and equality for all of our citizens.
Juan José Lopez announced that from next Monday there will be a week of activities that celebrate love, identity and freedom.
He said: The fight for the rights of the LGTBIQ+ (the plus represents anyone who does not fall within any of these groups) is one that concerns everyone and in Calasparra we are committed to be an inclusive and welcoming town, where each person is able to live their life with dignity and respect, without fearing discrimination, rejection and lgtbiphobia.

Calasparra Town Hall states that the intention of the programme is to educate and raise awareness of the importance of equality and acceptance.
