ENACTING HISTORY, LEGENDS AND ROMANCE IN CALASPARRA

OMNI TEMPORE, the theatrical nocturnal walking routes around the old town of Calasparra, part of the celebrations of the Donation of the Villa of Calasparra to the Order of St Juan held last weekend, were enjoyed by more than 250 people.
The project by Fernández Moya and developed by the pupils of  the  Nuestra Señora del Sagrado Corazón Primary School with the collaboration of the Department of Culture at the Town Hall, took place over last weekend.
The project consisted of nocturnal walks around the old town making stops in emblematic places to reenact historic or literary episodes with lighting, costumes and music and guides reading texts.
These theatrical guided routes offered history lovers the opportunity to summerge themselves in the rich history and cultural patrimony of Calasparra.
Some of the places featured were Museo de la Villa, the Clocktower, St Peter’s Church, the Castle and squares such as the Cross of Malta, each one with their own unique history read by the guides in great detail .
