Calasparra, Caravaca, Cehegin, Moratalla and Mula have received three million euros in European funds to launch a new visual identity and to develop new traditional, natural and gastronomic tourism.
The new brand, «Tierras de la Vera Cruz» (Lands of the True Cross), which replaces the one used for the last 20 years, is illustrated by a series of icons in different colours representing each one of the six towns, with six concepts: contract, diversity, versatility, roots, plurality and singularity.
The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, attended the presentation of the new brand in Bullas yesterday.
The brand «Tierras de la Vera Cruz» forms a base for the Plan for Sustainable Tourism in North West Murcia and carries three million euros to fund the development of new tourism by enhancing the destinations, spreading the grand variety of resources and products and launching new ones. It is adapted to the Objectives of Sutsainable Development and also to the Intelligent Tourist Destination Network of the North West Murcia region
