SHOWCOOKING WITH CHEF/OWNER OF THE OLIVAR

Firo Vázquez, chef and owner of the Olivar restaurant prepared three dishes with «gastropiajes» as the theme in a magnificent sesion of Showcooking in Calasparra at the weekend on the third day of the Gastronomic Days of Calasparra Rice.
Firo Vázquez has his excellent restaurant in the heart of the Murcian Sierra, is SOL, in the Repsol Guide and Q de calidad and European excellence.He has given exhibitions and lectures in London, Lyon, Pekín, and Tolouse.
On November 25 he will receive the National Hostellery Prize in Zaragoza.
Also appearing as a «guide» was  Joaquín Reyes, food critic and Director of the  “Gastrónomo” magazine.
Firo Vázquez prepared three delicious dishes: rice with olives, butter and pinenuts: a cheese cream with cheese from Villa Vieja; and dumplings with rice and milk.
The showcooking exhibition was held in the Plaza Emilio Perez Piñero.
