The director of SEF, the Employment and Training Agency, held a meeting in Calasparra this week as part of a tour of the North West region of Murcia to assess the job market and unemployment.
Apart from analyzing the situation in the municipals of the North West Ginés Martínez announced various initiatives to impulse employment including ideas and events for the tourism sector, surveys and interviews with residents and talks and discussions aimed at agents in the commercial, catering and tourist sectors. These studies will aid SEF to introduce new measures to support new businesses and expand training opportunities for the unemployed.
The meeting was attended by the Head of Employment at the Town Hall, José Vélez.
During 2009-2011 some 11,5 million euros has been invested in training programmes in the five municipal areas of North West Murcia.
