The gates of the Play Park for Dogs (Parque Canino) are open following the officially inauguration of this facility by the Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, and her local government team.
The park has a two metres security fence and consists of 1,300 square metres of space with five activities; eight solar floodlights; two drinking water fountains and a rest area.
The park is on the Avenida Juan Carlos I at the foot of the Sierra de San Miguel (the road past the Athletics ground roundabout travelling towards Consum).
The Mayoress said the park had been created at the request of residents and the local Childrens’ and Adolescents’ Committee but also served to raise awareness of the need to clean up excrements of pets and to take care of facilities created in Calasparra.
The following regulations apply:
Users must clean up the excrement of their dogs, put it in a bag and dispose of it in a waste bin immediately.
