Calasparra Town Hall is decked in with rainbow colours today to mark the International Gay Pride Day.
June 28 commemorates the Stonewall disturbances in 1969 and aims to underline a feeling of pride in sexual and gender identitites, which are marginalized and repressed, and to vindicate their human rights.
“It is a day to remember that “All human beings are born free and equal with dignity and rights,” according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the continuing fight to achieve this goal.
