Two drugs related arrests in Calasparra form part of the campaign by local police to control and eradicate drugs in the recreational spaces and in and around local schools
Local police arrested two local men in possession of over 30 grams of cocaine on suspicion of drugs trafficking in late January.
The two men, with initials JJSS and JSS, aged 30 and 40 respectively, were arrested at special control point while travelling in a grey Seat Toledo in Avendia Teniente Flomesta.
On searching the car the police found a plastic bag containing 30.91 grams of a substance which appeared to be cocaine. When cut into 370 doses this quantity would have a street value of over 2000 euros.
Another Calasparrian, JGM, aged 42, was arrested by the police in another similar operation after local police found him to be in possession of 50 doses of cocaine, 11 containers normally used to contain the drug and cash.
All three suspects will appear before magistrates in Caravaca.
