Calasparra Carnival, after the long cold years of the Covid-19 pandemic the people of Calasparra really let their hair down in their imaginative, creative and frankly bizarre fancy dress.
Traditionally Carnival is a time to hide your identity in a town where everyone knows everyone and go mad!!
This year was special after two years of restrictions and limitations on their social life the party continued until the early hours of the morning.
Groups and individual entries signed on, paraded around Calasparra town centre, ate and drank in the bars and posed for numerous selfies and photos before the prize giving for the best costumes at midnight.
There were also prizes for the best masks.
