The North West Murcia Health Area report for Calasparra on Saturday registered just nine new cases of Covid-19 compared to 25 the day before.
According to the report there are currently 156 active cases of the virus in our municipal area.
Caravaca has 566 active cases and 72 new cases diagnosed in the previous 24 hours; Cehegin has 301 with 60 new; and Moratalla has 195 active cases and 13 new.
The regional statistic for the Murcia region for the period ending at midnight on Sunday January 9 was 3,620 new confirmed cases.
Sadly, two men have died of the virus in this counting period, ages 71 and 89 years.
