MURCIA REGION CLOSES BARS AND RESTAURANTS AT 1AM

The regional Covid-19 Monitoring Committee has announced restrictions and limitations, effective from Christmas Eve, which curb opening hours, capacities and seating at tables of all bars and restaurants.
The region has moved up from a Level 2 (Medium risk) to Level 3 (High risk) of contagion from Covid-19 and 88% of the regional population live in a high risk area.
The current incidence per 100,000 head of population stands at 900.
There has been another death from the virus in the last 24 hours and the intensive care areas in all regional hospitals are being extended.
The Regional Government recommends that social and family reunions should be restricted to a maximum of 10 people and should be held outside where possible and, if not, in well ventilated areas, where social distancing is observed and masks are worn when not eating and drinking.
The obligatory restrictions are:
In accordance with national policy face masks must be worn in the exterior.
All non-essential businesses, including bars, restaurants, nocturnal venues etc must close by 1 am.
All dance floors will be closed.
Covid certificates are required to enter nocturnal venues.
Capacity of bars and restaurants is limited to 30%.
Maximum table sizes are 10 people in the interior and exterior.
At procession and mass events everyone must be seated.
These measures will take effect from midnight on December 24 and will remain in effect until January 14.
