Pedro Sanchez has announced that masks must be worn in the exterior from midnight tonight as a measure to curb the sixth wave of Covid-19 which is sweeping over Spain.
He also announced that military medical facilities and staff will be mobilized to reinforce the vaccination campaign against the virus.
In order to reinforce medical service retired medical staff will be recruited.
Professional antigen tests held in chemists must be available for sale to the general public.
From February 1 the Covid Certificate will expire nine months after the last vaccination date.
Anyone who is fully vaccinated but has had contact with someone who is positive for Covid-19 does not need to self-isolate.
These are the national measures which will be passed by special decree today and will be in force until January 14.
