With just three days until Christmas the tragic news is that five people have died from Covid-19 in the Murcia region in the last 24 hours.
They were three women and two men aged 50, 64, 79, 83 and 84 years.
More bad news for some families hoping to celebrate the festive season is that 39 patients with Covid-19 were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours.
As we await the meeting of all the regional governments with the President of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, today, to discuss how best to combat this sixth wave, more than 250 more new cases of the virus were registered in the last 24 hours than in the previous 24 hours.
