The DGT reminds us that from July 1, 2021, the V16 light signal can be used instead of the orange triangles to signal an emergency when your vehicle has broken down.
From January 1, 2026, it will be obligatory to have a V16 flashing light device in your vehicle as it will replace the orange triangle.
In case of an emergency when you have to stop on the road place the light device in the highest possible part of the vehicle to guarantee maximum visibility.
The V16 light can be used from July 1 2021. Although, until January 1 2026, the triangles and the new signal may be used.
