Almost all the residents who pay rates (IBI in Calasparra will benefit from an average cut of 44% on next year´s bills, the Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, has announced.
Calasparra Town Hall has applied for a reduction in the “catastral” value of properties in Calasparra on several occasions, which would then lead to a reduction in the Impuesto Inmuebles Urbanos* (rates on urban properties) and has now become a reality.
This reduction in the “catastral” will also affect IRPF (income tax), inheritance tax and the tax on the increased value of urban land. It will also mean a major reduction in the tax on inheritances and donations, the purchase of property and the property tax.
Calasparra Town Hall will lose approximately 600,000 euros of income as a result of this change.
Residents will be contacted individually about the reduction, if it affects them, which will come into effect next year, 2020.
* Nexonr has contacted the Town Hall to clarify if this reduction only affects «inmuebles urbanos» and therefore does not apply for «inmuebles rusticos» (casas en el campo) or houses on the urbanisations. Currently waiting for their eply.
