The first case of the Delta variant of Covid-19 has been detected in the Murcia region but, according to the regional Department of Health, there were no close contacts.
The woman, who came from Madrid, visited her second residence in the region and has since proved positive for the Delta variant.
According to Juan José Pedreño of the Department of Health, she had no close contacts in the region and has now returned to her area.
