The Consumer Price Index for the region of Murcia rose by 0.6 points during November and by 2.6% compared to last year according to figured released by the National Statistics Institute (INE) this week.
During November alcohol and tobacco registered the highest price rise at 10.3%. The cost of transport rose by 8%; housing by 5.5%; food and non alcoholic drinks by 1.7%; hotels, cafes and restaurants by 0.8%; and clothing and shoes by 0.2%.
The price of medicines has dropped by 5.1% and communications by 1.5%.
In “special groups” petrol and oils have risen by a massive 15.2% and energy products have risen by 13.8%.
According to the INE this represents the fourth consecutive monthly rise in prices in the region.
