SPANISH GOVERNMENT ADVICE FOR UK TOURISTS ENTERING SPAIN

There is no requirement for a certificate of vaccination or of a PCR or antigen test for Covid-19 for UK citizens entering Spain from today, May 24, according to information released by the Spanish Government website.
However, UK citizens entering Spain should be aware of limitations and restrictions in place in Spain due to the Covid-.19 pandemic and inform themselves of these restrictions in the area they intend to visit and any changes about crossing frontiers (interior.gob.es) or (mscbs.gob.es).
Please remember to use these official sites for information and not to depend on social media information.
Visits to Spain of not more than 90 days are subject to the norms established for crossing frontiers of Schengen countries. That is a current valid passport or current valid travel document
The passport/document must be valid for three months and must have been issued within a previous 10 year period.
UK citizens who have residency in one of the Schengen countries, such as Spain, may circular for a maximum of 90 days in the EU as long as they have a valid passport and are not on the list of nationalities not admitted by a member state.
In any case the police controls can deny entry to a tourist or private visitor even if they have a valid passport or visa if they do not have the following:
A document confirming where they will stay, (carta de invitación), particularly if this is a private dwelling, issued by the “Comisaria de Policia” in the area of residence; or a document confirming accommodation (hotel, apartment etc) booked for their stay.
Plus a return ticket or for further tourist travel.
For proof of sufficient funds tourists may be required to show they have at their disposal a sum equal to 10% of the minimum inter professional gross salary of 950 euros.
