Today, Thursday December 8 is a national fiesta day in Spain to celebrate the “immaculate conception” so expect most shops and businesses to be closed all day.
As this is the second national fiesta day this week some bars and businesses have closed for the week: a practice which is referred to in Spain as a “Puente” (bridge between fiesta days) although some refer to this particular bridge as a viaduct due to its inordinate length.
