The local police have been out and about in Calasparra enforcing the preventive controls for Covid-19 in public spaces.
In many citites and towns crowds of people have been celebrating the end of the State of Alarm in street parties and crowds taking little or no precuations and in contravenetion of the six person limit on reunions.. This has not happened in Calasparra and local police are taking measures to ensure it doesn´t.
They are also controlling areas vehicles and pub.lic areas for the consumption and sle of drugs.
The Spanish Government believes that the worst of the pandemic has passed and ended the State of Alarm on Sunday. However, they are prepared to change the law to avoid the Supreme Tribunal vetoing regional States of Alarm, as has happened in the past.
The Government also reminds regions they can ask the Government for permission to impose a regional State of Alarm if they find it necessary.
