In the Paseo Alfonso X el Sabio, in central Murcia, there is an exhibition of photos starring Calasparra Rice.
The gigantic photographs by local photographer, Pedro Navarro Laforet, stand on either side of this central Street in an exhibition entitled “Entre Arrozales” (Amongst the Rice Fields).
The exhibition is a collection of photographs based on Calasparra Rice and concentrate on the process of the production, the different and unique landscapes and the work of the rice farmers.
The 22 photos will be exhibited for approximately a month and place Calasparra in the centre of the capital of the region.
The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, attended the inauguration of the exhibition, with the photographer, the Government Delegate, Jose Velez, the Mayor of Murcia, Jose Antonio Serrano, and various councillors from Calasparra.
