There were four motions presented by the PSOE governing group at the meeting of the Full Town Hall Council last night in Calasparra.
One of the four was an urgent request to the regional government to install a mass vaccination for Covid.19 here in Calasparra. Plus a request to include members of the Civil Protection in the vaccination protocol.
Other motions were:
A motion to make “transfuigismo” (swopping political parties in midterm) a form of political corruption. (see Editors Note at end of this item).
A motion to make sport an “essential activity” under the Covid-19 restrictions.
A motion to boost the plan for Mental Health for young people with resources and attention.
A motion to reinforce and protect the Tajo Segura water transfer.
All the motions were passed.

The motion on “transfuguismo” follows two members of the Ciudadanos Political Party Group supporting the ruling Partido Popular and accepting paid positions in the regional government against party discipline (whip). They were later expelled from Ciudadanos. A member of the extreme far right party, VOX, who had previously resigned from his party, was also given a paid position in the regional government. Without these defections the PP would have lost their majority and the censor vote previously presented by the PSOE would have succeeded.
