The children of Calasparra have organised two environmental projects beginning with a massive clean-up of San Miguel.
The children form part of the local Committee of Children and Adolescents, organised by the Town Hall.
The first family activity consists of cleaning up the rubbish on the Sierra de San Miguel and the second is raising awareness amongst dog owners to collect the excrement left by their pets and to maintain cleanliness in parks and gardens.
The rubbish collection will be on Saturday May 1 and the meeting point will be the Athletics Track at 9.30am.
The Town Hall will provide gloves, bags, gloves and masks. The use of a mask will be obligatory.
Raising awareness about the cleanliness of our parks and gardens is the second planned activity and the children of Calasparra will designing publicity posters for the project.
