Today, Tuesday, 380,000 new doses of the AstraZeneca vaccination have arrived in Spain and are being distributed to all regions.
Yesterday the distribution of 520,650 doses of the Pfizer/BioTech vaccination began.
In total 900,650 doses of the Covid-19 vaccination will be distributed to the different regions of Spain this week.
The Ministry of Health has announced Phase 2 of the vaccination process. The first part of this group includes:
Anyone over 80 years old (currently underway)
Anyone over 70 years old
Adults of over 50 years with one or more of the following conditions:
Arterial hypertension requiring medication
Diabetes mellitus
Chronic lung conditions
Chronic kidney conditions
Cardiovascular or cerebrovascular conditions
Immune suppression (HIV, cancer, anyone using immune depression medication)
Obesity.
The second part of the group consists of adults from 50 to 60 years old.
The development of the second phase is dependent on the number of doses available.
Please remember do not go to the Medical Centre to ask about your vaccination. The Medical Centre will call you with an appointment.
The Spanish Government has confirmed that anyone living in Spain, regardless of their medical insurance, will receive a Covid-19 vaccination.
