The Segura Water Board has approved more than 30,000 euros to restore the “playa fluvial” (river beach) in Calasparra and install a new wild water Slalom course.
The work on the river beach, Remolino del Canar, will restore a facility frequently used by local residents but which has disappeared as a result of swollen river flows. The “playa fluvial” is under the road bridge, near the Municipal Canoe Club.
The Board has also approved a new wild water slalom course in Calasparra, which includes clearing the banks and installing a new 250 metre course.
The works will cost 38, 40.14 euros, of which the Water Board will fund 31,052.10 euros.
