The Met office has issued a bad weather alert for strong winds of up to 90kph in the North West Murcia region, which includes Calasparra.
Readers are advised to bring in all garden furniture and secure or store any objects which may fly in the wind.
Extreme caution is advised when driving and readers are advised to stay away from buildings and trees during the next 48 hour period.
