A young man has been arrested in connection with several forced entries and thefts from dwellings in Calasparra.
The arrest followed a call to the police in the early hours of this morning reporting that someone had broken into a private house, breaking in through the front door and disturbing the contents.
The caller also described the intruder and the direction the fugitive had taken enabling local police to arrest the alleged culprit close to the scene of the crime.
The detainee has previous convictions and is being investigated in connection with various burglaries which have taken place this week in Calasparra.
The Chief of the Local Police and the Head of Citizen Security at the Town Hall have emphasized that the swift action of the police officers led to the arrest.
