Our Mayoress, Teresa García, has made history by being the first woman elected as President of the North West Murcia Municipal Association.
The Municipal Association (Mancomunidad) represents Calasparra, Caravaca, Cehegin and Moratalla.
The Association was created in 1991 and united the four municipal areas to enable them to join forces and economic possibilities in the ambit of social policy.
Cllr Juan José López will represent the interests of Calasparra on the Association.
Among other services the Association manages social policy, home help, assistance for immigrants, social insertion and the prevention of drug dependency.
