There were 447 cases of Covid-19 confirmed in the region of Murcia in the 24 hours ending at midnight on Wednesday and five people have died in the past 24 hours.
The total number of people who have died during the “new normality” has reached 187.
Hospitals in the region are feeling the pressure as two more patients were admitted bringing the total to 330 and 58 of these admissions are in intensive care.
However, the regional Head of the Department of Health says there are still 1,500 beds available and that contingency plans are working in the ambit of staffing and materials.
The number of contagions for municipal areas are Murcia (84); Totana (73); Lorca (70; Cartagena (32); Jumilla (25); Molina de Segura (18); Torre Pacheco and Yecla (both 14); Cieza (13); Mazarrón (10); Los Alcázares, Alhama de Murcia, Lorquí and San Javier (all have 8); Beniel (7); and Mula (6). The remainder of the cases are spread over other areas.
