The Town Hall has officially confirmed one active case of Covd-19 today in Calasparra.
The affected person was infected in the Valencia where he/she was staying for a few days and had had close contact with some residents of Calasparra and others outside the town.
This group of close contacts have shown great sense of responsibility by getting in contact with the local Medical Centre, before returning to Calasparra, and putting themselves in quarantine immediately without having any contact with anyone. They are currently undergoing PCR testing.
The Town Hall are grateful for the sense of responsibility this group has demonstrated and for their cooperation with the Medial Centre.
The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, says:
“We can be assured that this is a case under control. We must all act with the greatest sense of responsibility possible and maintain the security measures at all times. We cannot relax.”
