The Government´s medical expert who publishes the statistics and explains them, Fernando Simón, has announced that the current average age of active cases in Spain is 40 to 43 years and that 53% of cases are asymptomatic.
According to Simön, who is the Director of the Coordination Centre for Medical Alert and Emergencies, PCR tests are carried out in 93% of cases where coronavirus is suspected.
