This is not an article about
protecting yourself from COVID19. We are promoting an initiative for women in
danger to ask for help.
Women who find themselves at risk or in danger, psychological, physical or
sexual, either in the home or in public, can go to the chemist and ask for a “Mascarilla
19.”
In this way the staff at the chemist know that you are a woman at risk and will
call the 016 to alert the appropriate emergency services which can provides
help and information in total confidence and with complete discretion.
In order to ensure this call is effective staff will, if possible and as
discretely as possible, ask you for your name, address, and telephone, or give
you a pen and paper so you can supply this information.
All the services for women at
risk of domestic violence or any other type of violence are guaranteed during
the State of Alarm.
