The Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez,
presented the XV Galardón Agrícola San Abdón y San Senén (Agricultural prizes) at the Harvest Festival
Mass held this weekend in the Saints Church.
The first of the prizes was awarded to Antonio López Sáez, «El
Porche», for his dedication to the cultivation of rice during his working
life, the care and cleanliness of his land and
for his good harvests.
The second prize was awarded as a “surprise” to Juan Carmona López, for his
work and service to the Brotherhood of the Patron Saints.
