Some 300 athletes will
take part in the V Vuelta to the Sanctuary, 14k road run on Sunday November 17.
There will also be a walking event along the same route and children´s races (4
to 14 years) which are non-competitive.
At 8am numbered vests will be distributed to the participants and at 9am and
10am the runners and walkers will start.
The Vuelta is organized by the AD Blade Runners Calasparra begins and ends in
the Gran Via, passing through the town centre to the Caverina and onto Calle
Tejera to follow the bike lane along the MU87 to the Sanctuary. The route then
passes through the Sanctuary, in front of the restaurant, and down to the Viveros.
From there the route goes along the PR MU 85 in front of the Sierra de San
Miguel, then along the service road, which runs parallel to the main dual carriageway,
and then turns right for Calasparra.
